ADDING VERSATILITY AND PERFORMANCE TO ROLLFORMING APPLICATIONS

Our pneumatic presses can be used to create multiple press production systems able to help roll formers produce both standard and custom-engineered shapes from materials that include prepainted, galvanized, hot rolled, cold rolled and carbon steels as well as aluminum, other metals, plastics and paper products.

In addition to being able to provide the accuracy and speed rollforming operations need, our presses are designed to help eliminate secondary operations, reduce costs associated with labor and time and minimize maintenance.

The precision and rigid construction of AIRAM presses also allows rollformers to achieve the accuracy required during prepunch operations while effectively combating the forces needed to match production rates. And because these machines don’t have brakes or clutches, AIRAM presses always stop on top. The capability to dwell on the top or bottom of the stroke ensures that the speed of the press will always match line production requirements.

Metal Stamping

WHEN YOU NEED A METAL STAMPING OPTION THAT CUTS COSTS YET DELIVERS QUALITY

Our pneumatic press line (3 to 210 tons) is especially suited to metal stamping applications ranging from forming processes that require different heights or tonnages to production of laser-welded part blanks and panels fabricated with different material thicknesses. Our pneumatic presses are also capable of performing specialized metal stamping operations such as draw work less than two inches, embossing, coining, and laminating.

Built with a low profile and flat underside, our machines are suitable for integration into automated processing systems and can be mounted in unconventional attitudes at any angled position, including an inverted upside-down mounting at 180 degrees, or with a fixed horizontal stand for hand-fed operations.

Scrap Chopping

At AIRAM we help you manage your scrap for a higher value return. We design our scrap chopping solutions to the maximum gauge material running in your press room. Our control provides the capability to match scrap chopping to the press stroke. We also provide the ability to alter scrap chopping to cut material on specified press strokes. Blanking

RELIABLE PRODUCTION SYSTEMS FOR A VARIETY OF BLANKING OPERATIONS

Instead of a framework, AIRAM pneumatic presses feature guide posts with bushings that align RAM movement, the die and other key components for accurate parts production. Part accuracy is also supported by plates designed with low deflection characteristics comparable to that of a crankshaft-driven press.

As a result, AIRAM presses are especially suited to blanking operations by a wide range markets including hardware and automotive. Our presses also provide the packaging industry with the capability for blanking operations required to produce plastic coated containers for microwaveable food containers
