Size
for size, the Airam will out perform a crank
press on both speed and accuracy, and it is
virtually maintenance free.
There
are no clutches, no flywheels, no painstaking
hours needed to fit the work to the press.
The Airam can't jam, and delivers practically
full-rated tonnage throughout the stroke range.
On
the down stroke, the air tube actuator is filled
with air, at the signal from the control system,
forcing the air tube to expand, applying pressure
to perform the required work. When the work
is complete, the control signal tells the valve(s)
to exhaust and the ram returns to top stop,
thus completing the cycle.
